Industry Regulation and Representations

Westside is well-versed in working with the energy regulator and retailers to ensure system approval and operating efficiency. We work with the following organizations on our clients’ behalf to ensure the systems are approved and work efficiently on the electricity grid. Systems are typically installed and commissioned to operate within the following guidelines:

South Australia Power Networks

  • NICC270 – Connection Requirements of Embedded Generation
  • TS 129 – Small EG Connections – Capacity not exceeding 30 kW
  • TS 130 – Inverter Energy Systems above 3 kW and up to or equal to 200 kW
  • TS 131 – Inverter Energy Systems Above 200 kW or Any Size Rotating Generating System

  • AS 4509 Stand alone power systems
  • AS 4086 Secondary batteries for SPS
  • AS/NZS 3000 Electrical wiring rules
  • AS 1768 Lightning protection
  • AS/NZS 1170.2 Wind loads
